ice bucket challenge florida

Azalea Health Interlachen takes the Ice Bucket Challenge August 28th 2014.

After work on Thursday, August 28, 2014 some members of Azalea Health’s Interlachen, Florida health care team took the Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of community members suffering from ALS.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is currently sweeping the nation as a charity challenge that has raised more than $100 million in donations to support research for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

The Azalea Health staff in Interlachen, Florida dedicated their challenge to a former co-worker who recently quit work to spend more time with her husband – who has ALS.

Afterward, while still cold, shivering and filled with determination, the group issued a challenge to the Palatka, Florida location of Azalea Health to organize and take the Ice Bucket Challenge themselves.
